Market Trends – August 26, 2022, on Realtor.ca posted an article titled
“Is the Canadian Real Estate Market Coming in for a Soft Landing?”.
An interesting title following months of speculation in the media and conflicting real market forecasts released by CMHC and the Canadian banks.
It appears the Canadian Real Estate Association’s Senior Economist, Shaun Cathcart, sides with CMHC’s outlook having said there’s an “increasing number of data points I’m watching that could suggest (the real estate market) will have a softer landing as opposed to the harder variety.”
